Receiving this Nurturing Outstanding Visionaries and Achievers (NOVA) Trailblazer Award on Excellence in Leadership from the Indian Women in Enterprise, an award presented by His Excellency Harsh Kumar Jain, Indian Ambassador to the Philippines, is something I did not expect knowing that I will be awarded alongside a lady senator in my country and a lady Nobel Peace Prize Awardee. This gives me tremendous honour but at the same time tremendous responsibility to live up to the expectations of many.
Receiving this award is not only a personal achievement but a reflection of the collective efforts and unwavering support of many individuals who have been instrumental in my journey. I am deeply grateful to my family, whose love and encouragement have been my guiding light, and to my mentors and colleagues, whose wisdom and collaboration have enriched my professional and business paths.
Throughout my career in finance, accounting, auditing, real estate, and corporate governance, I have been driven by a commitment to excellence, integrity, and innovation. This award is a testament to the power of breaking barriers and redefining leadership, and it serves as a reminder of the potential within each of us to effect meaningful change.
I am particularly moved by the purpose behind this year’s NOVA Awards which coincides the 75th year celebration of diplomatic relations between India and Philippines which is to provide free breast and cervical cancer screenings for 5,000 underprivileged women in the Philippines. This initiative underscores the profound impact we can have when we come together to champion essential causes. It is a poignant reminder of our shared responsibility to uplift and empower those who are most in need.
