Honored to represent the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) before the ASEAN Federation of Accountants (AFA) Council Meeting in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
Delighted to be reconnected with council members of Kampuchea Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Auditors (KICPAA). I remember 2 years back, I sat down with KICPAA President Darith Khun, FCCA, CPA (KH), ASEAN CPA ’s team and some members of Cambodia’s Accounting & Auditing Regulator (ACAR) to work on KICPAA’s progression of its IFAC membership from associate to regular member. I admire the synergy between KICPAA and ACAR. I am so looking forward that this dream team will finally achieve its IFAC regular membership status anytime soon.
One of the highlights of course is the presence of IFAC President Jean Bouquot. Happy to join the IFAC team with him and Tanya Theresa Musumhi.
This had been my fourth time to attend AFA Council Meeting. As always, it gave me immense pleasure seeing familiar and new faces of great leaders who represent respective PAOs of different jurisdictions.
